An Adventurous Elopement at Arenal Volcano, La Fortuna, Costa Rica

This couple didn’t want a traditional wedding. They wanted something different: romantic, fun, and full of adventure, with Costa Rica as the star of the show. So they chose an elopement in La Fortuna, in the shadow of Arenal Volcano.

The day began at a private house on the grounds of Hotel Los Lagos, where they got ready surrounded by rainforest. The ceremony took place in the hotel’s chapel, and then the celebration spilled outside. We were lucky with the weather: a sunny day and a crystal-clear volcano. From getting ready to the last bite of wedding cake, Arenal was there in every frame.

There were happy tears, plenty of laughs, and zero stiffness. Just two people in love, a rainforest setting, and a day that felt entirely their own.
